At normal rotation speeds, Loopwing Wind Turbine captures wind with both front and rear blades, which makes it work as a high-torque six-blade turbine. Along with the proprietary non-cogging DC generator, Loopwing Wind Turbine starts rotating at a wind speed of as low as 1.6m/s without consuming electricity for power-assist activation at a cut-in wind speed. This means that Loopwing Wind Turbine does not require a fragile anemometer to detect a cut-in speed. Plus, Loowing's three-dimensional rotor captures variable winds, which adds to the overall practical efficiency. |
