Ocean current generator generates double the amount of out put
Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) and Engineering promotion
association jointly started a substantiative experiment.
Engineering promotion association (Shiba, Tokyo) and MES has jointly started a substantiative experiment of the world largest ocean current power generator system. They have changed the manufacturing method from mold shaping to assembling multiple curbed thin plates for their turbine. The device has a diameter of 33 meters on its turbine and 2 mega watts standard out put, which will be double the scale of the current models of ocean current generators. They employed Loopwing technology invented by Loopwing co., ltd. (Minatoku, Tokyo) for their turbines. With this Loopwing technology, the turbine is designed to enlarge the size to over 30 meters with high efficiency, that 11 meter has been the limit of the size in the past. |
