2009.07.27	Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun (Nikkei industrial newspaper) posted an article of Loopwing Wind turbine in its July 27th issue.
Releasing a practical use model of electric generator to energy market Loopwing co., ltd.(CEO Minoru Yoshida, Minatoku, Tokyo) has been entrusted development of　a small sized wind power generator by a British energy firm. The main purpose of the wind power generator has been only for educational use in the past, but with their high spec model of the wind power generator, they are aiming to develop a new market of practical usage for new power supply to electric vehicles. They are currently developing a Loopwing wind turbine generator of 4 kilowatt standard out put models for Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE). They will have been selling the wind power generators of 200 units to SSE by next summer. The price for the product is millions of yen per unit. SSE is planning to use the products for practical use of a quick electric charger for electric vehicles and emergency power supply. Loopwing’s leading product is small sized wind power generators with 438 watts standard out put models in Japanese market at moment. They have been installed 30 nits of their products for governmental organizations. Their wind power generator has its original design with curbed b1ades shaping loop wing which lessen noise created by rotating the blades. They are undertaking a substantiative experiment to expect for commercialization of practical power supply models on its demand expansion. 70% of small sized wind power generators are less than 1 kilowatt models for educational usage, but Loopwing co., ltd is concentrating on the practical usage models of the power supply.
